MÖTLEY CRÜE's VINCE NEIL Stars In Reality TV Series, Pleads Innocent To Attack Charge

MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil, rapper M.C. Hammer, Emmanuel Lewis of the 1980s sitcom Webster, Mindy Cohn from The Facts of Life, and former Baywatch babe Brande Roderick will move into a house and have their lives taped round-the-clock, ala The Real World, according to Variety.

The Surreal Life, produced by Brass Ring Prods. and Mindless Entertainment, will follow the notorious pop culture figures as they room and work together in the San Fernando Valley for two weeks.

Formerly known as The Surreal World, the series, originally slated to air this month, was pushed back to midseason to give producers more time to cast the series and set up camp. The WB ordered six episodes of the show earlier this summer.

Per its makers, Surreal Life will play more like MTV's The Osbournes or E!'s Anna Nicole Show than the like-sounding Real World franchise, also of the MTV universe.

"Our intent is to make you feel like you're really watching a sitcom," Mark Cronin of Mindless Entertainment explained to Variety.

In related news, Neil pleaded innocent on Friday to attacking a record producer outside the famed Rainbow Room nightclub in West Hollywood.

The pair allegedly tangled in the nightclub's parking lot on April 28th in a dust-up that ended with a fractured elbow for producer Michael Schuman and misdemeanor battery charge for Neil.

Neither Schuman nor Neil, whose full name is Vincent Neil Wharton, were required to be present for the hearing at the Beverly Hills courthouse.

Neil's lawyer Sara Kaplan entered his plea. A pretrial hearing was set for November 19th.
